1. You must have an email account (best if you have gmail or yahoo mail)
2. A facebook account and Twitter account are also needed.
3. You don't need to have a blog to join online contests.
4. You can follow most blogs through Google Friend Connect (GFC) by using your google, yahoo or twitter account. Just click on "follow" and follow further instructions. You will know if you successfully followed if you see your profile on one of the followers.
5. You must know how to use the social sharing buttons such as "share on facebook" and "tweet". The only thing you have to do to share is to click on those buttons and follow instructions on the window that pops out.
6. Winners are either chosen by random.org (most common), best answer or chosen by the blog author, online draw etc.
7. Joining is either you will leave a comment on the blog post or filling up a google docs form.
8. Cellphone and mobile numbers are not needed in joining international online contest/giveaways.
9. Most online contests and giveaways are open to all. No age restrictions. Although some contest are for 18 years old and up only. For minors you just need to have a consent from your parents that you are joining so that if you win you can send your address to the blog author.
10. You don't have to send your full address when you are still joining the contest/giveaway. You need only to give it if you are chosen as the winner.
